Seeing with Open eyes

There was a time in my life when I just couldn’t hardly stand that people wouldn’t agree that Jesus Christ was the best thing EVER! I couldn’t fathom why they wouldn’t just run to Him in groves and give Him their lives. It just did not make sense to me. I mean, it’s simple right? He’s the Messiah, the Promised one, the Savior, Son of Man and God!

God the Father also called Elohim, the Lord Yahweh, Abba which is my personal favorite meaning Daddy or Father, El Elyon is referring to Him as the God most High. El Rio states He is The God who sees ALL. Yireh means He’s my provider for everything I will ever need. Yahweh Nissi means He is my Banner – protector, deliverer from all harm and evil. Rapha says He’s my healer from all disease. There are many other names that God is known for in His word that are absolutely wonderful. But plan and simply mean all together, that God is our everything. There is nothing lacking in Him for us. There is not one thing we could ever need or want that He doesn’t have or doesn’t want to give us.

So why don’t people just flock to serve him? Why are we christians begging people to turn their lives over to Christ so that they can be happy and know Him? The only true God that loves them so much He sent His only son to die for them? Why?

I have been in prayer crying out to God to stop the things that are going on here in America and around the world. Evil that’s not limited to abortion, sex trafficking, child abuse, murder (at all stages of life), division and hate in America. My heart breaks for the victims. I often wake up crying for them and have to get up to pray for them because the hurt is so real and so deep.  God, please stop it. Just why don’t You stop it? I know He is powerful enough. He’s in control of everything! All powerful! But He doesn’t.

After many sessions of prayer, God has revealed to me a few reasons why He doesn’t jump in and just stop it. I do not know all the answers, but His word has a few in it. He has also revealed to me how we can help change the world, one person at a time and just simply using each of us.

One thing is people that aren’t God’s children, being that they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, are children of Satan. Therefore, they don’t have the Holy Spirit living in them like Christians do to help strengthen them and know the truth.

The god of this world is Satan and until one is born again, they belong to him and go by his rules. Satan doesn’t even care how much they go by his rules usually as long as they are his. So he’ll allow the “good ol boy” and “good girl” to go through life without much difficulty, being deceived thinking since they are “good” they are OK. Their eyes are still closed to the truth of God.

There are also those that are bad people that find pleasure in hurting others. The ones that make me wake up crying because God won’t do anything with them. But I believe because of His agreement with Satan, He can’t do anything – yet. So that’s where WE come in.

God created us to worship Him. But we are also created to help others. The bible teaches us to speak up the voiceless and innocent in Proverbs 31: 8-9 God tells us, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for their rights of all who are destitute. SPeak up and judge fairly: defend the rights of the poor and needy.” We should be fighting the people that are hurting others, making laws to defend them and not to hurt them.

God’s word also says that we are to intercede for each other. Prayer is spoken of when Peter was in prison and the Church made earnest prayer for him to God in Acts 12:5. I Timothy 2: 1-2 says, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” We should be doing this for our leadership, President Trump and all of Washington DC.

Now God’s word says we must pray for each other. For law makers and law breakers. Jesus prayed for them all alike.

Another thing God revealed to me is that only the ones God is calling to Him can come to Him. So we must pray that God keeps calling the unsaved ones in this world to Him that they may repent, trust God for their salvation, and turn from their evil ways.  John 15:16 says, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.”

Their eyes aren’t open to the truth of God’s word until God has opened their eyes. 2 Corinthians (AMP) 3:14 says, “But [in fact] their minds were hardened [for they had lost the ability to understand]; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed [only] in Christ.”

It’s our responsibility as christians, followers of Jesus Christ to pray. Pray for the ones being hurt that God make a way out for their protection. That God keep them safe and no harm to come to them.

We must pray for the law makers that they do what is right. Make laws to protect the innocent. They must have eyes to see the truth and therefore they must be born again. We must pray for God to keep calling them to Him so that they will repent, be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive a conscious. God will take the veil from their eyes and soften their hearts.

We must pray for those hurting others. God can still save them and change them, if their hearts are softened. God can do that. We must pray for that. I can’t imagine being so full of hate and anger. How horrible that person must feel. They have to want out of that situation. They are still loved by God, so let’s pray for them.

But there is physical work to do also. We have to SPEAK for those that can’t speak for themselves. We have to talk to our lawmakers and get laws passed that protect the innocent. We have to vote a godly conscious to get the right people in place to make these laws.  When we see wrong, we need to get involved and stop it. If it’s safe for you to stop it, then do so. Speak up. If it’s not safe, call for help. Call police, call human services. Call someone. Together, we can make a difference. If it’s just for one person, it means the world to that one!

God is doing His job, He’s created me and you. We are the ones to be changing the world. And one by one, together, we can. We can’t save anyone. We can’t change anyone. We can’t make anyone believe the gospel. But we can pray! We can pray that God will reveal all of this to them and more.

Yes, it’s aggravating when we love Jesus with all of our hearts and others seem not to have a care about Him or even hate Him. But, they really don’t understand because God hasn’t been able to be as real with them yet. So. . .  I pray.

My prayer:

Father God, I thank You that You have called me and saved me. I thank you that my eyes are open to Your truth. I thank You that I can come to You anytime and You are always there, always listening to my prayers.

Father, right now I pray for all the ones hurting in this world. All the ones being hurt and abused. God keep them safe. Somehow send angels, people, or whatever it takes to protect the innocent victims. Keep them well and in Your arms God.

God I ask that our leadership have eyes opened to see Your truth. That you change their hearts and give them knowledge of the needs of the innocent. Give them wisdom to make laws that protect the innocent and set them free from the captives.

God call to You the ones that are afflicting the pain on others. The ones ruling over them in evil ways. Father change their hearts. Let them see what they are doing, how it’s hurting others and how wrong it is. Make them not want to do this anymore. Change their hearts Father. God open their eyes Lord that they may see Your truth.

Lord please protect the innocent. Lead us to do Your will in our part as well. Give us wisdom Lord.

Abba God, I give You honor and praise for all that You do, for hearing our prayers, and for answering our prayers. We know that one day very soon, things WILL be done on earth as they are in Heaven, but until that day comes,

In Jesus precious name, Amen.
